The West Winds
10:10
|
|||
The wind it howls
Down empty streets and alleyways
The people run
To get inside before its too late
The sky goes dark
The hail it drops from blackened clouds
The lightening strikes
And sets the trees a blaze with fire
Broken homes and broken dreams
100 miles around..no one will ever be the same
Broken lives and shattered dreams
How does one find the strength to build their lives again?
The sirens sound
The ambulance race up and down the streets
An angry mob, of people wondering how this came to be
There was no sign
No warning to prepare for all of this
We all survived..we could have suffered much more loss then this
Broken homes and broken dreams
100 miles around..no one will ever be the same
Broken lives and shattered dreams
How does one find the strength to build their lives again?
The day the west winds came
And let us know there was a price to pay
The day the west winds came
And let us know we need to make a change
What kind of world will there be fifty years from now?
No lakes or forests for our children to explore
What kind of world will there be fifty years from now?
These violent storms will be the least of our concerns.
The wind it blows
Down busy streets and corridors
No angry mobs..just people searching for a remedy
The clouds are gone
Lets hope they wont return and strike again
We know the price..we'll pay if we don't try and find a way
Broken homes and broken dreams
100 miles around..no one will ever be the same
Broken lives and shattered dreams
How does one find the strength to build their lives again?
The day the west winds came
And let us know there was a price to pay
The day the west winds came
And let us know we need to make a change

The Fountain Of Truth
07:26
|

Bright eyes with dimmer switches flickering at night,
Praying for a sated stomach and a clean shirt.
Bought lies and endless wishes shimmer in the light,
Waiting for a broken daydream in the midst of all the hurt.
Won’t you care for these poor souls?
Won’t you fill their empty bowls?
Can’t you drag them from these holes?
Won’t you hold their empty hands?
Give them more than hopeless plans,
Give them all the heart commands.
Small insect acrobats are flying through the air,
Like a swarming, crawling halo, shunned and broken.
Write all your wishes on the bottom of your bed,
And hope that when you wake you’ll have a gift to open.
More daily sorrow,
Wait for tomorrow.
There’s still great hope in losing situations.
How do you sleep, destroying your creations?
Bright eyes with dimmer switches flickering at night,
Praying for a sated stomach and a clean shirt.
Bought lies and endless wishes shimmer in the light,
Waiting for a broken daydream in the midst of all the hurt.
Won’t you care for these poor souls?
Won’t you fill their empty bowls?
Can’t you drag them from these holes?
Won’t you hold their empty hands?
Give them more than hopeless plans,
Give them all the heart commands.

What Will It Take?
07:56
|

The dawn has come
And with it comes a brand new start
The winds of change..erase the sins of yesterday
The sun it shines..upon a world in so much pain
The daily news...remind us how we've lost our way
Is this the path that we will take?
A path that leads us all a stray.
Where is this world we dreamt of?
What will it take to cure us?
How long could this go on?
When is it all too much?
Who has the strength to lead us?
Out in the streets..The people scream for change to come
They've had enough...They march with banners held up high
Take my hand..I'll lead you to the promised land
Where crime is gone..and children play from dusk to dawn
Where is this world we dreamt of?
What will it take to cure us?
How long could this go on?
When is it all too much?
Who has the strength to lead us?
These broken hearts
Will never heal until we fight back
Against the tide
Of evil wills and power mad men
No where to hide
You can't escape this justice coming
You better run..
You can't escape this justice coming
Where is this world we dreamt of?
What will it take to cure us?
How long could this go on?
When is it all too much?
Who has the strength to lead us?
The dawn has come
And with it comes a brand new start
The winds of change..erase the sins of yesterday
The sun it shines..upon a world in so much pain
